Parkinson’s Disease Remote Patient Monitoring During the COVID-19 Lockdown

On March 9th, 2020 the Italian government imposed a national lockdown, due to Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak. Such restriction also aimed to protect fragile people with chronic diseases, a population that is particularly at risk of SARS-CoV-2 complications. However, these patients often needed a tight follow-up and therapies to be tailored from time-to-time. Montfort’s EncephaLog app, has provided remote patient monitoring (RPM) in a real-life cohort of Parkinson’s disease (PD) patients, monitoring motor and cognitive performances.
